What a day to choose for our first trip into Sydney. We arrived on the ferry just before 10 intending to go to the opera house but Claire needed the loo and the sign pointed to the right so we went that way rather than to the left.
Tim called us to tell us that his building was in lockdown as it is in the cbd near to the siege in the Lindt café. We explored the Rocks district, becoming very cultured, visiting galleries before returning on the ferry.
The Rocks area is just below the southern end of the harbour bridge and has restored former port buildings, many converted into shops, galleries and cafés/restaurants.
